Mission Possible – An Incredible Career in 52 weeks (Week 12)

Mission 12 Forget Competition and Focus on Your Strengths

Give up the whole concept of competition. Competition says that there is only one
prize and we all have to compete to get it. To compete means that someone has to win and someone has to
lose. It doesn’t have to be that way. We need to stop competing, -we need to stop condemning others for having, thinking that there is a limited source, and when they have, -it means we don’t have. Instead,  focus on your strengths. If you’re just starting out, -you might think you don’t have that many strengths, but it’s not how good you are right
now, it’s how good you want to
be. Success takes time.  The key is to always be getting better.
When you first start your career you’re not that great but you keep
trying.  -and you get better and
better and pretty soon you’re good, -but you don’t stop then because you want to be great. To be great you have to keep
improving. You have to stay at
it. If you love what you are doing
and are willing to follow through with the work it takes,  you will become great.
