Start marketing yourself through your social media channels, or create new ones specifically for your beauty work. Post about when you will be available to work, as well as examples of the past work you have done. This will encourage the people you already know to book appointments with you.

  There are many greats in the industry. These professionals have found success in beauty, paving the way for others to follow. Find some local beauty legends in your area, or try and contact your favorite nationally known. Introduce yourself and try to keep in contact. There is a thin line to walk between being persistent and being a pest so be cautious not to overdo it. Those looking to break into the industry can find these greats and offer to intern for them or work as an assistant. While the initial pay may not be what you want it to be, the experience will be far more valuable.
