Build a strong foundation for your future with Taylor Andrews Academy’s Hair Design course. This 1,200-hour program includes all aspects needed for a barber license with the added benefit of training in hair color. Among other things, students can learn long and short hair cutting, beard and mustache design, hair coloring, gray coverage, and chemical services (such as straightening or creating curly hair) for both men and women. The hair design program is currently only available at our Provo and West Jordan, Utah locations.

The Taylor Andrews Academy Hair Design program combines key parts of barbering and cosmetology, allowing you to learn traditional cutting as well as clipper work, straight-edge razor shaves, and all chemical hair services. Our hair design course is taught by both barber-specific and hair design/cosmetology instructors with many years of experience in cutting, coloring, and designing hair. We believe that our proven system of hair cutting helps unleash the power within students to create any hairstyle. Our highly qualified instructors are dedicated to developing your creativity and talent, so you can move forward into a career that you love and are good at!
Enjoy traditional classes in our state-of-the-art facilities in Provo and West Jordan, Utah, and take advantage of the trips and events that add value to your hair design education. A graduate from our hair design program has many career possibilities. Students have gone on to become barbers, hairstylists, and hair color specialists. Some have owned their own salon. You could go on to become a platform artist or an educator. Career placement assistance is offered to our graduates because we care about your success even after you leave Taylor Andrews Academy.

The tuition cost for this program is $17,149.38.

0Does Taylor Andrews Academy offer financial aid?

Yes, financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Some students may qualify for Parent Plus loans from FAFSA®. Check out the possibility of getting a private loan from a bank, credit union, or other financial institution. If you prefer a payment option, we offer a plan that requires a $3,000 down payment plus monthly payments at 4-10% interest. With this payment plan option, your tuition MUST be paid in full upon graduation. We recommend that you apply for FAFSA® or a private loan before considering a payment plan.
