FAQ’s About Our Master Esthetics Program
0If I want to become a Master Esthetician, do I need to take the basic esthetics course?
Yes. Master Estheticians must first complete a basic program. However, we have combined the basic and master esthetics courses into one program, so no prior experience is needed. The first 600 hours are spent learning and mastering the basics of esthetics, and the second 600 hours are devoted to more advanced techniques. Students desiring to seek licensure as a Master Esthetician need to take the full 1,200-hour program.
0What is the difference between an Esthetician and a Master Esthetician?
An Esthetician typically works in spa settings, providing basic skin care treatments and services, such as facials, waxing services, and basic chemical peels. A Master Esthetician is also sometimes referred to as a Medical Esthetician because they often work in a clinical setting, providing more advanced skin care services that require more training. Our Master Esthetics program provides the training you need to apply for a Master Esthetics license.
0What kind of professional support could I receive during my education at Taylor Andrews Academy?
Our qualified instructors seek to support each student as they learn the professional skills necessary to become an esthetician. Students receive business and leadership classes, so they can be better prepared for a future in the business of beauty. Our school also provides externships at high-end spa and salons, which give students direct opportunity to use their new skills in a professional setting. Furthermore, we can help with career placement after graduation, even to places outside of Utah.
0How much does it cost to attend the Master Esthetics program?
The tuition for the 1,200-hour Master Esthetics program is $17,149.38. This includes all supplies and books.
0What are my financial aid options at Taylor Andrews Academy?
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Some students may qualify for Parent Plus loans from FAFSA®. Other financial aid options include getting a private loan from a bank, credit union, or other financial institution. Our school does offer a payment plan that requires a $3,000 down payment plus monthly payments at 4-10% interest. With this payment plan option, your tuition MUST be paid in full upon graduation. We recommend that you apply for FAFSA® or a private loan before considering a payment plan.
