MAKEUP ARTIST SCHOOL IN UTAH

Taylor Andrews Academy of Makeup Artistry offers a specialized two week intensive program specifically designed around building a strong foundation for your Makeup career in the fashion, film, print, salon, retail, and bridal industries. You’ll have the opportunity to create special effects, classic, edgy, cultural, and glam to name a few different types of looks.

Please Note: ALL CLASSES for Utah and Salt Lake County are held at the West Jordan Campus located at 9052 S. 1510 W. West Jordan, UT. 84088. St. George holds their own classes.

COURSE LENGTH & SCHEDULE

This program consists of 50 hours of coursework. Classes are held Monday through Friday, and we offer both day and night school.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Night School

5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

PROGRAM CURRICULUM

The objective of this two-week course is to build a strong foundation for a successful makeup career in fashion, film, print, salon, retail and bridal. During this program, you can learn:

  • Basic skin care, color theory, and how to identify different skin tones
  • How to analyze the face and accentuate or correct certain facial features
  • How to choose, mix and apply the correct foundation, concealers, and powders
  • How to highlight and contour and shape eyebrows
  • How to apply eyeliner, shadow, mascara, false lashes
  • How to apply cheek and lip colors
  • How to create natural, fashion, glamour, bridal and editorial looks
  • Tips on networking to expand your business and creating your portfolio
  • Special FX Makeup

Potential Makeup Artist Salary
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that theatrical and performance makeup artists earn a median annual salary of $75,730 per year, or $36.41 per hour, as of May 2019. The lowest 10 percent earn less than $23,920, or $11.50 per hour, while the top 10 percent earn upwards of $145,420, or $69.92 per hour. The salaries reported don’t include tips! Tips may add up to 25% more to a makeup artist’s income!

Accepted payment methods include Cash, Check, Credit Card or Bank/Credit Union loans.

PRIVATE LOANThere are some banks, credit unions and financial institutions that offer loans to help finance your education.

In-House Payment Plan: This option is available with a $1,200 down payment due at least 3 weeks before classes begin + 6 monthly payments at a minimum of $200 per month with 10% interest.

Unfortunately Federal student aid loans are NOT an available option for the 2-Week Makeup Artistry course.
