On Thursday April 21st, Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design put on widely successful Hair & Fashion Show at the South Towne Expo Center in support of the YWCA, which is the oldest and largest multicultural woman's organization in the world. Across the glob, it has more than 25 million members and participants in 300 local associations in the United States. More important than the numbers, their mission to eliminate racism and empower women. They provide safe places for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advocate for woman's rights and civil rights in Congress.
Women come to them in time of crisis, as survivors of rape and domestic violence. They come for job training and career counseling. They come for childcare. They come for health and fitness. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives.
Thank you, from Larry and Sherri Curtis, to the thousands of people who came to participate in the event and support the YWCA!
